Mental Health Awareness Workshop
Hampshire FA are offering two dates for Mental Health Awareness workshops as part of the Football for Better Minds programme. The workshops are free and can be accessed by anybody who has an active role in grassroots football (parents, players, coaches, referees, volunteers etc).
Workshop 1
Mental Health Awareness Workshop, Cosham

Tuesday 26th November, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Workshop 2
Mental Health Awareness Workshop, Eastleigh
Stoneham Lane Football Complex
Tuesday 28th of January, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Workshop Content
This 2-hour workshop will cover the following areas, allowing for group discussions:
- What is mental health – what do we mean?
- Why Care?
- Why don’t we talk about Mental Health?
- Common mental health problems – how to spot someone who may be struggling
- Supporting someone
- Self-care
- Signposting
The workshop will be delivered by Havant & East Hants Mind on behalf of Hampshire FA. Attendees must be 16+.
Hampshire grassroots football participants are also able to enrol to the Football For Better Minds programme - a Mental Health Champion course, delivered by Havant & East Hants Mind and accredited by Mental Health First Aid England.
