Hampshire FA partners with Paultons Park to increase community-led initiatives
The partnership will offer financial support to support areas of Hampshire FA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy including financial support offered to fund two food distribution services in the county for up to 9 families, funding to support the continuation of refugee football sessions held at our Winklebury Football Complex site as well as food bank donations in the year.
The partnership will also enable Hampshire FA to deploy a new strategy for the season that further increases the organisation’s commitment to delivering social value.
James Mancey, Operations Director at Paultons Park, said: “The Paultons Promise outlines our commitment to operating responsibly and fairly across everything we do, and this includes our role in the community.
“Hampshire FA share many of the same values we live by at Paultons Park, and we are delighted to be able to support and collaborate on a brand-new strategy that will further enhance the great work the FA team already deliver in Hampshire.”
Hampshire FA is committed to using the power of football to build a better future for all its members and wider Hampshire community. The new CSR strategy focuses on strengthening core areas such as local communities through Charitable Giving and Community Support for those who need it most. Additionally, the strategy focuses on the commitment to protecting the Environment across Hampshire but especially around the association’s Hub Sites. Paultons Park’s sponsorship contributions support all three areas of the strategy, making this in every way a Community Support partnership.
Neil Cassar, CEO of Hampshire FA, commented: “With a prominent brand in our county and the only major theme park in Hampshire backing our many CSR activities, this really does inject a much-needed boost in support for the new season and for our new CSR strategy. All investment from this partnership will support the objectives set out in the strategy to try and help as many communities as possible. We welcome Paultons Park and wish that this is the start of a long-term partnership beyond the current term.”
The partnership with Hampshire FA comes as Paultons Park is named the UK’s best value theme park, based on independent research which considered entry ticket price, queue times, parking fees, and number of attractions. As visitors to Paultons Park enjoy over 70 rides and attractions, free parking, free entry for children under 1 metre, and some of the lowest ride queue times in the UK, the family theme park came out on top as offering the best value for money compared to all other UK attractions.
Paultons Park, which covers over 140 acres of parkland in Hampshire’s New Forest National Park, celebrated its 40th anniversary this year. The Park offers five different themed lands, including the UK’s first Peppa Pig World, the Jurassic themed Lost Kingdom, the animal adventure world of Wild Lands, and children’s favourite Critter Creek. The Park’s latest themed world, the 1950’s Midwestern Americana themed Tornado Springs, opened in 2021 and features some of the Park’s most thrilling rides, including Cyclonator and Storm Chaser.
