Hampshire FA CEO, Neil Cassar, said: “A great number of well deserving nominations were received. This is a huge credit to the grassroots football community across Hampshire and the support that our volunteers, clubs, leagues, referees, coaches, players and others have provided to each other throughout an extremely challenging period. With grassroots football put on hold for many months, we have all had to adapt and find new ways to keep our communities safe and active. Congratulations to our local winners, who epitomise these efforts. I would also like to extend wider congratulations to all of the unsung heroes across the county, including the many nominees that were unfortunate to not be selected as our local winners, for the astonishing support and positivity that you have contributed to our communities throughout the pandemic.”
The local winners will be judged by The FA in June and they will then select their national winners. All at Hampshire FA wish our local winners the best of luck throughout this process!
Regardless of the outcome of The FA’s judging, Hampshire FA will be recognising and celebrating all local winners at the Hampshire FA Grassroots Football Awards ceremony on 31st July 2021.
