Specsavers Proudly Sponsor Hampshire FA
As of 2018, Specsavers is proud to support Hampshire FA as the lead community partner for walking football, disability football and Respect & fair play.
Specsavers have been a family-run business for over 30 years, providing optometry, audiology and other healthcare services across nearly 2000 stores worldwide. This partnership comes courtesy of 26 local Specsavers stores across Hampshire.
The local Specsavers stores have already funded the purchase of respect materials, venue hire and staffing for events such as ‘Deaf sessions for toddlers’ held on 14th September 2018, as well many other similar events.
“The support that the Hampshire FA receives from Specsavers enables them to deliver high quality and bespoke football sessions, to people with a disability throughout the County. With their funding, the Hampshire FA is able to run and support projects across a variety of disability impairments, including blind football, deaf football and mental health football.
Glenn Brailey (Disability Development Officer)
The funds invested by Specsavers enable the county FA to secure venues for and run exciting walking football and disability football events, often attended by the Specsavers’ mascot ‘Spec Man’, showing his support as ‘reSpect Man’.
Funding also helps to promote Respect in the game through presentations, signage and boards.
