The 2-course Sunday lunch invites friends, families, colleagues and more to enjoy a casual, informal Sunday lunch and the opportunity to find out more about the Hampshire FA Foundation.

The Hampshire FA Foundation is the charity-arm of Hampshire FA, committed to supporting three key objectives including equality, inclusion and diversity, community coaching and disability football. Hampshire FA Foundation organises a series of fundraising events in the year including race nights, match day experiences and now the Sunday lunch in Portsmouth, to raise funds that support projects, activities, sessions and more that are aligned to the charity’s objectives.

Over the years the charity has supported several areas of the game including the purchase of period products to tackle period poverty, funded youth pan disability football events for players aged 5-11 (Hampshire FA Comets Festival) and contributed funding to AFC Stoneham’s counties-only (current) adult deaf team which launched in January 2024. Hampshire FA Foundation together with the Hampshire FA delivery team, provided the initial funding and delivery expertise to launch this team earlier this year.

The Sunday lunch event is another chance to raise funds for the charity in support of its projects and activities. Included in the price is a 2-course lunch (main and dessert), a presentation on the Hampshire FA Foundation, concluding with a charity raffle and a chance to win some exciting prizes including a meal voucher for a family of 4 at the Village Hotel in Portsmouth as well as a Starbucks goody bag. Hampshire FA’s mascot, Hammy the Hammerhead Shark will also be making an appearance and entertaining guests on the day and every child will also receive a goody bag included in the price complete with activities, crayons and sweet treats. The price of the meal automatically includes a donation to the charity.
