The partnership was inspired by the rise in ACL injuries, particularly in the women’s game. Performance Health have agreed a Bronze Supporters package for the new season and simultaneously, will also deliver a workshop that focuses on combating the rise in ACL injuries for female players. With a key focus on THERABAND®, resistance bands, Hampshire FA’s Female Pathway Football Development Officer, Hannah Humphreys, will join forces with Performance Health to deliver workshops designed to focus on recommended exercises and preventative measures to support female players.

I’m very excited to have Performance Health on board for the upcoming season. We have seen a huge number of female players succumb to the dreaded ACL injury over the past few seasons, therefore we want to ensure we can provide as much support as possible to reduce these numbers. Through Performance Health’s use of THERABAND, we are aiming to help educate female players as to the preventive measures they can take to reduce the risk of an ACL injury occurring, and ensure this opportunity is accessible to those across the grassroots game’. Hannah Humphreys, Hampshire FA Female Pathway Football Development Officer.

We are delighted to be working with Hampshire FA on this crucial project. ACL injuries can take a terrible toll on football players of all ages, and we truly believe we can help increase awareness of how to help reduce the risk and provide suitable equipment at the grassroots level. Strength and Conditioning using our CLX Theraband Resistance band will allow us to educate and empower players to include strength and conditioning work in the same way they warm up before a gameTom Stanley, Performance Health Business Development Manager.
