The Midweek Under 18 Floodlit Cup final was played at the Draper Tools Community Stadium, at Havant, on Thursday 12th May 2022.

A minute's silence was observed in memory of Robin Osborne, the President of the Hampshire Football Association, who passed away recently.

This final was a match between two evenly matched sides in which both defences dominated and goal chances were few and far between.

Camberley were the first to show when  Luis Hamblin found himself on the edge of the penalty area and shot just wide. At the other end, Camberley failed to clear and Havant's Kieron Dempsey had a chance, but he shot high and wide.

Play was end to end with neither side able to dominate but it looked as if Camberley might take the lead when they appealed for a penalty when Macauley Martin appeared to have been fouled in the box but the Referee waived play on.

Just before half time Havant's Adam Williams put in a good run deep into the box but shot over the bar.

The game changed in the 46th minute when Camberley caught Havant on the hop and Alfie Edmonds put in the perfect cross and Martin bundled the ball over the line for the opener.

Havant came back and Havant's Taylor Crook had a long range shot saved by 'keeper Adam Melville.

Camberley's Martin was proving a problem for Havant  and he put a shot just over the bar. A few minutes later, Camberley's Ryan Holt saw his shot also sail over the bar. Camberley continued to press, but failed to net from four consecutive shots deep in the box in a game of ping-pong which finally ended when Ryan Holt hit the post and Havant cleared at last.

Camberley secured the cup in the 72nd minute when Havant lost the ball in midfield which was picked up by Martin, who scored a great individual goal.

Just before full-time Camberley nearly went three-up when James Wakeling forced Moore into a brilliant save.

The match was sponsored by Savvy Accountancy Solutions. The Referee was Nick Whittington who was Assisted by Sean Riley and Cameron Davis. The Fourth Official was Darren Cooley.

The Player of the Match Award went to Camberley's Charlie Ludlow.
